The house is nestled at the end of a private track in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Set amid stunning natural beauty, the house enjoys spectacular views over the local hills and glens. During your visit, you are likely to encounter red squirrel and deer wandering the grounds, and you will see a variety of birds of prey, as well as the more numerous pheasants and grouse. If you are exceptionally lucky, you may even catch sight of the elusive and highly endangered Scottish Wildcat, which only lives in this area.
Our home is comfortable and unpretentious. You can relax around the table in the large convivial kitchen, that is always kept warm by the AGA cooker, or in our spectacular sun-room, which has comfortable seating and panoramic windows looking out over the grounds. The house has fast reliable wifi throughout. We live here with our children (1 teenager and our young son - both very chilled)
Our home is just 200 metres from the river Spey where you can go fishing with a locally bought permit and is the perfect location to experience outdoor sporting activities such as skiing, sailing, hillwalking, climbing, mountain biking.

Our home is in a very quiet and peaceful location, nestled in a hollow down a private track. It is surrounded by fields and woodland and is very close to the River Spey. It has extensive grounds and you can do many walks and cycle routes directly from the property. The house is approximately 4 miles from the nearest village where you can get most supplies.
The house is located about 1 mile from the A9, which is the main route to the north from Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is situated approximately one house from both Perth and Inverness. The nearest train station is Newtonmore, which is about 4 miles away. Kingussie train station is only 6 miles and is served by many more trains. Both stations are on the mainline to Inverness and have frequent direct services to and from Edinburgh, Glasgow and the South, including London. Here you can also get a train north to Aviemore and Inverness. Additionally, the Caledonian Sleeper overnight service stops at Newtonmore on its way to and from London. If you are arriving by train, we can usually arrange in advance to collect you from the station for a modest fee.
We have a puppy called "Furgus". He will be delighted to meet you!
